Happy New Year!

Sunday, December 31st, 2006
As I close this chapter, called 2006, and I look forward to 2007 I am thankful for the many blessings I enjoy. One of them is the friendships which have developed as a result of this blog. I'm delighted to have been able to help and encourage so many and I'm truly thankful for those who have come along side to do the same for me.

2007 marks the beginning of a new adventure for me - big changes ahead. Lots to blog about.

I would like to wish all of my readers good health and happiness in the coming year.

Mack Family Christmas Tree for 2006

Wednesday, December 20th, 2006
Christmas at our home is a major event, not only spiritually but in the decorations we put up to celebrate the birth of Christ. Our main Christmas tree (yes, there's more than one) is in the living room and because we live in fire country and we like to leave our tree up for much of December and into January, we choose to use artificial tree. This short time-lapse video clip of the Mack ladies decorating the tree will give you an idea of how it all comes together.

Merry Christmas from the Mack Family!

Note: when this video was recorded the girls were getting ready for their final competition.  The big table in the foreground is our competition robotics practice field.

Hanukkah Greetings for 2006

Friday, December 15th, 2006
The celebration of Hanukkah begins at sundown, tonight.

A delightful tradition, Hanukkah is a holiday filled with learning and lights.

It's also an opportunity to reflect and to share stories of freedom, struggle, miracles and faith.

To my Jewish friends and family, I offer a warm Hanukkah greeting

Grace and Peace to you.

Shalom

How to select mind mapping software

Wednesday, December 6th, 2006
Chuck Frey, of innovations tools, has just released his second ebook on mind mapping; this one is about how to select the perfect mind mapping program for your needs.

I've just received this ebook. At first glance I can tell you that it appears to be quite thorough and detailed. I learned about several mapping programs and tips that I was previously unaware of. If you are currently evaluating mind mapping software, this will be an invaluable resource. Chuck provides detailed photos and links as well. I look forward to reading it more carefully.

I don't believe it...
Yup folks, you heard right. I'm going Dell. There's a brown box in the corner of my office about to be opened for my new computing platform. Here's to (hopefully) super-reliable computing going forward, and thus higher productivity. Onwards and upwards!

P.S. Please don't tell Eric. Shhhh! I'll never hear the end of it.
