The girls FIRST Robotics Team competed in San Diego this weekend and they again won the robot design award. I'm particularly proud of them as this is an area in which the team has worked especially hard this year.



I was not too involved in the robot design, other than to show them how to map out the features that they wanted their robot to accomplish and to encourage them to design an integrated robot with no detachable parts. They came up with a very clever design, using the new LEGO NXT robotics kit. I'm particularly impressed with their multi-function arm. Apparently, the judges were, too!
