eProductivity on ABS-CBN News

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007
I just received a Skype chat with a link to ABS-CBN news in Manila. I clicked on the link to see the feature article. 20071023_ABS-CBNNewsFeatureStory.jpg There, I found a Special Feature by David Chavez Dizon, Senior Editor, ABD-CBN NEWS about my recent pre-conference planning visit to Manila for my upcoming eProductivity conference in November.

It's an interesting article and the reporter did a nice job of capturing portions of my presentation at the planning meeting. (If I had known I was being recorded I might have tried to say something really profound.) At the time he was recording, I had just given a big pitch for why I thought everyone should buy David Allen's book, Getting Things Done, and  master the principles contained within.  The video jumps in near the end of my 5-minute overview of what is GTD and how it works for me. Then, the video skips into our discussion about wild success for the conference. There's a link to a YouTube video at the bottom of the page.

Michael Sampson and I are meeting daily to work on the eProductivity session planning and to select content and finalize outlines for our next eProductivity advisor's meeting. I'm looking forward to the conference.

This article was a fun way to end the day.

Great article and nice video Eric.

How about the big Manila event, will it be available online too? This week I was attending the Annual Symposium from the Center of Connected-Health in Boston and they presented options to attend virtually through Second Life as well. (See { Link } )Surely it is not the same as attending in person, but it could be a nice way to extend the reach of the conference globally.

The conference will be recorded and I will bring the tapes home with me. From there, not sure. I will probably post a few hightlights to my blog. There are no plans to simulcast, though if I did I see a neat product at the Office 2.0 conference - Veodia - that looks like a smart way to go. I have no other plans for the conference videos at this time.

re: eProductivity on ABS-CBN News

Hi Eric,

I'm from Veodia and we'd love to help you simulcast the conference. I think you've got a great conference coming up and there are lots of people that would love to attend but can't...so you can bring it to them online. We can also stream live into Second Life if you want to make that an option.

Send me an email and we can set something up.

Hi Eric. Glad you liked the article. We're now working on getting it published in major broadsheets here in Manila. I'd really like to do a follow-up since some of the dailies here are asking for exclusivity on the first article. Also, a follow-up would drum up further interest for the eproductivity conference, which is less than a month away. I sent you an e-mail a while back on your ICA address on the proposed follow-up article but I'm also open to suggestions.

David, I'll follow-up with you off-line. I would be delighted to do as many interviews as you need to help you promote this conference. My Skype ID is eProductivityGuy < - best way to find me outside of email.

re: re: eProductivity on ABS-CBN News

Thank you, Par, I've been in contact with Tom from my recent speech at the Office 2.0 conference. I'd like to test your service and we can then discuss where to go from there. You may reply to my email and we can connect. Eric.
